Dr. Gerhard Henßen has more than 20 years of experience in plant design business at thyssenkrupp. During this time he managed different international projects as Process, Commissioning, Engineering and Project Manager. In 2009 he took over the position as Head of Process Department at the Electrolysis Division of thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH. After closing of the joint venture, he took the position of Head of Project Execution Department at thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers in Germany and Project Execution Governance of the Business Unit Electrolysis and Polymers.
In 2019 Dr. Gerhard Henßen was appointed as Managing Director of thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers (Italia) S.r.l. in Milan, serving now as CEO of thyssenkrupp nucera Italy srl.
