Dietmar Wagner joined Uhde in 1991. Initially, he worked on engineering and commissioning of chlorine dioxide, hydrogen peroxide and chlor alkali plants. Since 2001 he was responsible for the technology services of electrolysis plants. After various assignments in thyssenkrupp related to digitalization he took over the position Head of Digitalization in November 2020.

He studied Process Engineering and Business Economics and completed these studies with the graduate degrees Diplom-Ingenieur and Diplom-Kaufmann.

He lives in Menden, a small city close to Dortmund. He likes classical music, so the opera and concert hall are among his favourite places in Dortmund. As other hobbies he enjoys are photography, jogging and walking in the mountains.
