Amol Gaikwad

Amol Gaikwad is the General Manager – Technology & Process at thyssenkrupp nucera India. In his current role, he is involved in the developmental activities for thyssenkrupp nucera’s Alkaline Water Electrolysis scalum® modules for the production of Green Hydrogen.

Amol began his career as a Process Engineer at thyssenkrupp Uhde in 2001 and has held various positions within the Process Department. He has extensive experience and has been closely associated with new developments in know-how, basic and detail engineering, and commissioning of numerous electrolysis plants (both Chlor-Alkali and Green Hydrogen). Additionally, he is involved in the preparation of technical proposals, HAZOP/SIL studies, technical audits, and safety audits for electrolysis plants. He played a key role in the concept-to-commissioning of India’s largest single-train Caustic Soda Plant (design capacity of 960 TPD) for GNAL (a joint venture of GACL and NALCO).

Amol is an alumnus of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai (formerly known as UDCT-Mumbai), and has given a number of lectures and presentations in both industry and academia.
